FAQs
When does the class start or can my student join anytime?
Our first week will be January 6th and after that students can join every time we switch topics. The topics are all taught separately so students do not need to join starting from the first topic. Since the class is rotating, students will continue the class until they have covered all of the topics, at which point they will be done with the class.
Why is it a monthly subscription and how does that work?
We charge a monthly subscription rather than an upfront cost for the entire class so that parents do not have to pay the entire class price all at once. When you sign up, the subscription will automatically cancel once your student has done the full rotation of topics. You can also cancel at any time by reaching out to us.
Does my student need to know anything specific to join?
No! We teach everything from the ground up, with no previous knowledge necessary. Come ready to learn a lot!
Does my student need to bring anything to class?
Nope! We provide all tools, materials, computers etc. Students are welcome to bring their own laptop to use if they would like to continue any of the work we do in class at home.
Are there any other times available?
We are always adding new times based on parents requests! If you have a group of students that would like to do a speciifc time please reach out to us and will work to accommodate you.
What happens if my student misses a class?
If a student must miss a class, we will catch them up in future classes. We also give them a 1.5 hour credit to come into the makerspace during open time and make up the missed lesson with a mentor. We however do not provide any refunds for missed classes.
